Mosquito Spraying to Begin
The Village of Spencerville plans to begin their annual mosquito spraying program during the month of June 2013. The spraying will occur during the evening hours just before dusk and will take place one to two days per week, depending on weather. Spraying shall continue through the month of September. The Village will be using a ULV (ultra low volume) machine to spray the chemical, Kontrol 4-4, for the purpose of adulticiding; which means that the chemical is specifically designed to attack and kill adult mosquitoes. Kontrol 4-4 can be irritating to the eyes and skin; therefore, it is suggested that individuals use caution when spraying is taking place.
